Established in 2020
Dr. Stephens, the owner of Stephens Firearms Training, was an educator and administrator in Clark County School District until he retired in 2015. During the last few years of his career he trained 60 to 80 days a year in handgun, long guns, integrated weapons, improvised weapons, empty hand, and edged weapons. In 2016 he became an instructor at the largest firearms training center in the United States, Front Sight Firearms Institute. He is currently still a Seasonal Instructor at Prairie Fire Nevada. His wife and family realized there was a need for those who wanted or required a concealed weapons permit AND wanted personalized classes built for their needs. Therefore, Stephens Firearms Training was established.
Meet The Owner
Dr. Stephens is a Las Vegas Native. He retired from the Clark County School District and continues to work with schools and administrators in the Clark County School District as a consultant for his business Stephens Educational Consulting. He also sub-contracts with a company out of Houston Texas that is devoted to granting provisional licenses to Alternative Route for Licensure to prospective teachers. He has taken over 100 specialty weapons self defense courses and has taught thousands of students. Stephens realized customized CCW and personalized classes were necessary in order for students to get the guaranteed curriculum while having the class tailored to their specific needs. Being an educator for 30 years, shooting for over 40 years, and formal training in the firearm industry made for the perfect storm.
